The Green and White Army got their Euro 2016 campaign up and running with a deserved win over their Group C counterparts in the pouring rain in Lyon on Thursday evening

Northern Ireland secured their first ever win at a European Championship finals with a 2-0 victory over Ukraine at Parc Olympique Lyonnais on Thursday.

Gareth McAuley rose above his man to bullet home the Green and White Army’s first goal at a major international tournament for 30 years from Oliver Norwood’s free-kick.
