Henrikh Mkhitaryan looks to be on his way to Manchester.
According to Sky Sports, Borussia Dortmund has agreed to sell their star playmaker to Manchester United for a $35 million transfer fee.
Named the Bundesliga’s Players’ Player of the Season last year, Mkhitaryan led the German top flight with 15 assists to go with his 11 goals
Mkhitaryan’s agent had been trying to push a move to Manchester, with Dortmund forced to sell the Armenian international or risk losing him for nothing next summer when his contract expires.
With Mkhitaryan reportedly set for a medical this week, Jose Mourinho’s new look Manchester United continues to take shape. While United supporters will be happy to see the club bring in a dynamic playmaker, one man who won’t be as happy is Juan Mata
Mata was sold by Mourinho when they were both at Chelsea, and Mata’s future with United immediately came under question when the Mourinho hire was made official. Now with Mkhitaryan coming in as competition in the No. 10 role, Mata could once again be forced out by his manager.
