Although Barcelona have one of the best teams in world football, we expect them to strengthen this summer. And if reports from L’Equipe are true, the Spanish giants will kick off their transfer window with the 30 million euro signing of Samuel Umtiti.

The Lyon player has established himself as a very good defender and is expected to start for France on Sunday against Iceland at Euro 2016 with Adil Rami suspended.

L’Equipe claim that Barcelona have been in discussions with Lyon for three weeks and a deal is expected to be agreed before the end of the week.

Umtiti will sign a five-year-deal with Barcelona and will challenge Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano to a place in the starting XI.
