Earlier last month, Real Madrid saw their £38 million bid for David Alaba rejected by Bayern Munich as they made the Austrian defender their number one transfer target.
Now, reports in Spain have revealed that Los Blancos have offered €65m (£54m) for the 24-year-old but the transfer is unlikely to happen after Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that the club will not sell an of their stars against their will.
Alaba is under contract at Bayern Munich until 2021 after he signed a three year deal at the Allianz Arena back in March as rumours linking him with a move to Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid quickly disintegrated
But Madrid’s latest bids have caused ripples.
Spanish newspaper AS understand through sources close to the player state that the Bernabéu outfit have made an offer of €65million.
