The Philadelphia 76ers‘ quest to bolster their backcourt has reportedly led them to free agent Jerryd Bayless.

Per Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press and Keith Pompeyof the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bayless agreed to terms Friday on a three-year, $27 million deal with the Sixers.

The 27-year-old Bayless has been a valuable bench piece throughout his eight-year NBA career. He has averaged 8.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.1 rebounds per game with six different teams.

Last year was a difficult season for Bayless, who missed 30 games with the Milwaukee Bucks due to various injuries.

Even though Bayless isn’t the splash that suffering fans in Philadelphia might have been hoping to see, Jon Johnson of 94 WIP Radio likes the move for the 76ers:
